It all started with Pickering Sly.

Hi there, I’m Erin, a 34 year old photographer based out of Culpeper, Virginia. I don’t remember my first time on a horse, but I have photos of me at 6 months old sitting with my Dad on his Thoroughbred, Pickering Sly, at the Quentin Horse Show Grounds in Pennsylvania. I was bitten by the bug that day, starting my life-long love of all things horses. I can name all of the horses I’ve been blessed with in my life; my first gelding Poco de Amour, Molly McCow the coolest mare I’ve ever known, Shad, Que, Ryan, Bear, Four, Butch & Sundance…all of them have a special place in my heart. Though none had as much of an impact on me as Cody Bullo, pictured here with me thanks to Katie Damon Photography. Cody and I had an extensive, twenty-two year long career together, and that career helped kick start my love of Photography.

My parents gifted me a Minolta 35mm Film Camera for my 14th birthday, and I took photos of everything. While at horse shows, I realized photographers weren’t available, or weren’t able to cover the rings I was in, and as I grew older I realized what I wanted to do with my photography. Every rider deserves to have photos of their rides, whether it’s a small schooling show, your debut at the A-Level, or it’s your Centennial Ride down the centerline, I aim to be there for every second. Sharing the beauty that is horse and rider is my goal, and there is no bond more beautiful than that between a horse and their owner.
